What the Work Has Contributed To

I have learnt that impact is not only about how many activities were delivered or how many people attended. It is also about what becomes possible afterwards a skill someone can use, an opportunity they can access, a business that becomes stronger, a voice that is heard, or a connection that continues beyond the programme. My own journey was shaped by people and opportunities that opened new possibilities for me, and that has influenced how I think about the work I now contribute to. Here are some of the outcomes from programmes, projects and initiatives I have helped coordinate, communicate, monitor and deliver.

Impact in Practice

Research & Policy Engagement

Turning Youth Voices into Evidence

During the ECOWAS Youth Consultations, I served as Middle Zone Supervisor across Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Western North. I supervised 22 focus group discussions involving more than 100 young people across urban and rural communities. Beyond coordinating the sessions, I contributed to the thematic analysis and recommendations that fed into the report presented to the ECOWAS Commission. The experience showed me how structured consultation can turn individual experiences into evidence that can inform wider conversations about youth policy and development.

Higher Education & Innovation

Connecting Learning to Opportunity

Through UNIHUBS, I have supported activities designed to bring universities closer to the innovation ecosystem. This has included coordinating project activities, supporting the Design Thinking Bootcamp and facilitating a session for students at Kumasi Technical University and the University of Mines and Technology on hands-on learning opportunities through the local digital innovation ecosystem. The work has strengthened my interest in how students can gain practical experience, networks and opportunities beyond the classroom.

Still Becoming: A Journey Through Opportunity, Innovation and Growth

2021

Learning by Doing

I started at HapaSpace doing the simplest things: cleaning the space, arranging rooms and helping wherever I was needed. Gradually, curiosity opened new doors into Code4Kids, photography, design and communications. I learnt by trying, asking questions, making mistakes and becoming more useful with every opportunity.

2022

From Tasks to Responsibility

Work on SmartWoman, digital marketing support and AfriConEU introduced me more deeply to programme delivery. I began to see the work behind an activity, participants, logistics, data, partners, communication and follow-up.

2023

Taking Ownership

Through Thrive, Ghana Digital Innovation Week and startup mentorship, I began taking greater responsibility for programmes, entrepreneurs and activities where the quality of my contribution had real consequences.

2024

Asking What Changed

R4DAC, Youth Innovation Circles, SEADE and the ECOWAS Youth Consultations expanded my work into monitoring, research, stakeholder engagement and reporting. I became increasingly interested not only in whether activities happened, but in what happened because of them.

2025–2026

Connecting People, Ideas & Opportunities

International projects, higher-education collaborations and ecosystem work through UNVEIL, UNIHUBS, GIZ engagements and the Ghana Hubs Network have increasingly placed me in roles that connect people, institutions and opportunities across different contexts.
