What the Work Has Contributed To
I have learnt that impact is not only about how many activities were delivered or how many people attended. It is also about what becomes possible afterwards a skill someone can use, an opportunity they can access, a business that becomes stronger, a voice that is heard, or a connection that continues beyond the programme. My own journey was shaped by people and opportunities that opened new possibilities for me, and that has influenced how I think about the work I now contribute to. Impact in Practice
Turning Youth Voices into Evidence
During the ECOWAS Youth Consultations, I served as Middle Zone Supervisor across Ashanti, Bono, Bono East, Ahafo and Western North. I supervised 22 focus group discussions involving more than 100 young people across urban and rural communities. Beyond coordinating the sessions, I contributed to the thematic analysis and recommendations that fed into the report presented to the ECOWAS Commission. The experience showed me how structured consultation can turn individual experiences into evidence that can inform wider conversations about youth policy and development.
Connecting Learning to Opportunity
Through UNIHUBS, I have supported activities designed to bring universities closer to the innovation ecosystem. This has included coordinating project activities, supporting the Design Thinking Bootcamp and facilitating a session for students at Kumasi Technical University and the University of Mines and Technology on hands-on learning opportunities through the local digital innovation ecosystem. The work has strengthened my interest in how students can gain practical experience, networks and opportunities beyond the classroom.
